Proper care and maintenance of your CORE sensor will help keep it clean, reliable, and in good working condition.
Cleaning your CORE sensor:
Clean your CORE sensor after every use, especially after training sessions where it has been exposed to sweat.
- The CORE sensor can be rinsed with water and mild detergent.
- You can gently clean the sensor with a soft, damp cloth.
- Make sure the sensor is completely dry before storing or charging it.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or materials that could damage the sensor.
Disinfecting the sensor:
The CORE sensor housing is resistant to mild disinfectants, including 70–75% isopropanol or ethanol. These can be used to remove stubborn dirt or for disinfection when needed.
Do not use:
- Acetone
- 100% alcohol
- Strong solvents or harsh cleaning products
These substances can damage or degrade the CORE sensor housing.
If your CORE readings seem unreliable:
If you notice that your CORE readings are not behaving as expected, first check the sensor and its contact area.
- Clean the sensor and remove any sweat, dirt, or residue.
- Check that the sensor is making good contact with your skin.
- Make sure the sensor is positioned correctly.
- Check for dirt or build-up on the sensor or mounting area.
After cleaning, try using the sensor again and check whether the readings improve.
Storing your CORE sensor:
- Store it in a cool, dry place.
- Avoid leaving it in hot environments, such as a car or direct sunlight.
- Elevated temperatures can shorten battery life.
- Recharge the sensor at least once every 2 months, even when it is not being used regularly. This helps maintain battery capacity.
Proper cleaning, storage, and regular charging will help maintain reliable performance and extend the lifespan of your CORE sensor.
