Everything you need to know to get started with the Epic Blue Demo
01 Log In
- Open your browser (best viewed on desktop using Chrome or Edge) and go to: https://portal.epic.blue/login/u
- Enter the credentials: Reach out to isabelle.saalfeld@greenteg.com for credentials
- Click Log In
02 Explore the Live Map
After logging in, you land on the Live Map View. From here, you can:
- Zoom in and out freely
- See user locations in real time
- Spot triggered alarms directly on the map
- Hover or click icons to reveal more detail
Each user and sensor is represented by a label. Alarms are shown as icons, color-coded by severity:

| 🟥 Red | Fatal |
| 🟧 Orange | High |
| 🟨 Yellow | Warning |
| 🟦 Blue | Info |
Clicking on an alarm shows the time, event type, source, and GPS accuracy.
03 Alarm Panel (Top Right)
Click the bell icon in the top right to open a dropdown of recent alarms.
- Click the Fit icon to center the map on the alarm
- Click the checkmark icon to mark an alarm as resolved
This is useful for real-time triage and confirmation.
04 Alarm Overview (Left Panel)
Select "Alarms" from the sidebar to see a full history:
- Filter by open or resolved
- View alarm types, risk levels, locations, and timestamps
This panel serves as your digital audit trail.
05 Area-Based Alerts (AOIs)
Users entering or exiting predefined Areas of Interest (AOIs) trigger location-based alarms.
This is ideal for:
- Perimeter breaches
- Entry into restricted or hazardous zones
- Shift start/end tracking
You’ll see these on the map as “Area Entry” or “Area Exit” alarms, with location accuracy and duration displayed.
06 Adjust Display & Map Layers
Click the settings icon in the top-left corner of the map to adjust what you see.
Operational Layers:
- Users
- Sensors
- Assets
- Alarms
- AOIs, Spaces, Coverage Zones, etc.
Background Layers:
- Topographic map
- Satellite imagery
- 3D terrain view
- Base map selection
Use this to tailor the visual display for your site or use case by clicking on the stacked-layers symbol.
07 Personal Settings
Click the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top right corner to:
- Change language
- Select preferred units of measurement
- Switch to dark theme
- Log out when finished!
08 What You Can Test
As a demo user, you can:
- Monitor real-time location and alarms
- Explore all map layers and alarm logic
- Use basic controls (read-only)
Note: This demo account is view-only. No changes can be made to live data or configurations
