Sharing your CORE account with your coach

It is possible for CORE users to grant read-only access to synchronised CORE data. An example is an athlete wanting to share their CORE data with a coach who can monitor their thermal data.

Set up CORE account sharing

Inside the CORE app, open the main settings (tap on the user icon, top left). Then navigate to the "Account" settings and tap "Account sharing". This will open a sub page with an overview of the athletes and/or coaches your account is linked to.

Role definition

• Coach: A person who has read-only access to all your CORE data, including a weekly overview and the ability to see the details of your data as you do.
• Athlete: A person whose account you have access to. You can see athletes' data in detail. For each athlete, a weekly overview tile in the Coach Mode is visible.

Either party can revoke access at any time. A notification is sent via email.

Different Statuses

• No access: You don't have access to an athlete's data
• Approval pending: The athlete/coach needs to approve your request
• Full access: The coach has read-only access to the athlete's data. The athlete cannot see the coach's data.

Step-by-step instructions

To share your data with a coach, tap "Add Coach" and type in coach's CORE account email address. This will send a sharing notification to the person via email. The coach needs to approve the request in the email or in the mobile app. 
​NOTE: currently users are not notified in app of any sharing requests.

Once approved, your coach will appear in the 'My Coaches' list. By clicking the trash bin icon (right side) you can revoke access and your coach will no longer have access to your thermal data. This procedure is the same when the coach requests access to an athlete's data.

Set up CORE sensor sharing

This scenario is needed when a coach loans a CORE sensor to an athlete. The coach maintains ownership of the CORE sensor and that athlete can setup an account and can gather CORE sensor data which is available to the coach.

Inside the CORE app, open the settings for the CORE sensor (top right). Should you have multiple CORE sensors select the one you wish to share. At the bottom of the setting page click on "CORE sensor sharing" and you can add and revoke access.

For sharing to work, the recipient should have the CORE app installed and a CORE account setup. The email address associated with the CORE account is used for sharing.

Note: All users with access to the same sensor should ensure data has been synced and the CORE app fully closed after each session. This prevents the CORE for connecting and syncing to the wrong account.

When a CORE sensor is shared, the recipient will be notified and the shared CORE sensor will automatically appear their CORE account.

Historical data for the shared CORE sensor is visible only from the point at which it is shared. Should you need this to be backdated please contact CORE Support
